Who we are

VidSlicers (vidslicers.com) is a done-for-you YouTube editing service and the controller of personal information collected through this website. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and the choices and rights you have.

What we collect

  • Intake form submissions. If you fill out our form, we collect the details you provide — name, email, website or channel URL, and what you're publishing — so we can respond to your inquiry.
  • Email. If you email us, we keep the correspondence for as long as needed to work together.
  • Hosting logs. Our hosting provider may log standard technical data (IP address, browser type, pages visited) for security and reliability. We don't use this to identify you.
  • Website analytics. Google Analytics 4 records pages viewed, broad country-level location, device and browser information, referring source, campaign information, scrolling, selected calls to action, successful form submissions, and video interactions. We do not send the contents of forms, names, email addresses, or other directly identifying information to Analytics.
  • Embedded videos. YouTube remains unloaded until you press play. When you do, YouTube receives standard connection and device information and may set or read its own storage under Google's policies.

Analytics, cookies, and your choice

For most visitors in the United States, Google Analytics loads when the site opens and uses _ga and _ga_* cookies to distinguish visits. We limit those cookies to 12 months, retain event and user data in Google Analytics for 14 months, keep Google Signals and user-provided data collection turned off, disable granular location collection, and deny advertising storage and ad personalization.

You can turn Analytics off at any time using the “Privacy choices” button in the footer. The site stores that preference in your browser's local storage for up to 12 months, stops further Analytics collection from that browser, and removes VidSlicers Analytics cookies the site can access. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal and you have not expressly allowed Analytics, we treat that signal as a request to keep Analytics off.

For visitors in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland, Analytics storage defaults to denied through Google's region-specific Consent Mode. Advertising storage and personalization remain denied everywhere.

VidSlicers does not use this site for targeted or cross-context behavioral advertising and does not sell, rent, or share personal information for advertising.

How we use your information

  • To respond to your inquiry and provide our services
  • To understand how the website is used and improve its content and performance
  • To detect and prevent spam, fraud, and security threats
  • To meet legal or regulatory obligations

U.S. privacy disclosures

The categories we may collect are identifiers and contact details you submit, internet or other electronic network activity from hosting and Analytics, and commercial information if you become a client. We use these categories only to respond to inquiries, provide and improve our services, understand site performance, maintain security, and meet legal obligations. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Who we share it with

We use service providers only as needed to operate: Hostinger for website hosting, Web3Forms and our email provider for inquiries, Google Analytics for site measurement when active, YouTube when you choose to play an embedded video, and — if you become a client — the payment processor handling your invoice. We never see or store your card details. These providers process information under their own privacy obligations.

How long we keep it

Inquiry details are kept for up to six months if we don't end up working together, and for the duration of our engagement plus standard bookkeeping periods if we do. Google Analytics event and user data is retained for 14 months. Security logs are retained according to our host's operational and security schedule.

Your rights

Depending on your U.S. state of residence and whether its privacy law applies, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of personal information and to opt out of certain uses. VidSlicers does not discriminate against anyone for exercising a privacy right. To make a request, send us a message. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.

Changes to this policy

If we update this policy, the new version is posted on this page with a revised date.
